San Diego Regional Water Quality Control Board The San Diego Regional Water Quality Control Board is a part of CalEPA There are currently six serving Board Members.

The San Diego Regional Water Quality Control Board protects water quality and beneficial uses under the State of California Porter-Cologne Water Quality Control Act and the federal Clean Water Act. The Water Board regulates discharges of wastes into waters and to land for the protection of water resources in eleven hydrologic units (watersheds) from Laguna Beach to Imperial Beach. nal Water Quality Control Board Members are appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the State Senate. Board Members are appointed in Irrigated Agriculture, Industrial Water Use, Water Supply, Undesignated (Public), Water Quality, Recreation/Wildlife, Municipal Government, and County Government categories. The San Diego Water Board meets monthly on the second Wednesday of the month except in January and July (no meetings).
