Amphibious Construction Battalion 1 (ACB 1) is the Navy's foremost command in rapid expeditionary logistical delivery systems. ACB 1 conducts Joint Logistics Over the Shore operations with our Navy and Marine Corps team and our joint partners throughout the world. ACB 1 also provides worldwide construction capabilties in support of humanitarian missions and various operations.

Boatswain’s Mate Seaman Ahmir Palmer is from Camden, NJ and joined the U.S. Navy in 2024.

Palmer joined the Navy to set a better example for himself and his younger siblings. He performs maintenance on the craft at ACB-1. He serves as the Repair Parts Petty Officer (RPPO) for his detachment and is the vice president for Coalition of Sailors Against Destructive Decisions (CSADD).

Palmer enjoys being around his peers, spending time with his family, and cutting hair.
