Today, the San Diego Center for the Blind pauses to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the first responders, service members, families, and everyday people whose courage and compassion emerged in the face of unimaginable tragedy.
Twenty-five years later, we remember not only the heartbreak of that day, but also the way communities came together to support one another.
May we continue that spirit through kindness, service, and compassion for our neighbors.
We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸

Talk about dedication! 💙
Every Wednesday, Carlos and Maria, graduates of SDCB, and Jesus, a current student, travel nearly two hours each way from Imperial Valley to volunteer, learn, and connect.

Carlos and Maria continue to give back, while Jesus builds his skills and independence. Four hours on the road each week—that’s commitment! 💙
