Two Active Shooter Resources

Joshua DaFoe runs all the active shooter training for the San Diego Police Department. He offers consultation and guidance related to all mass threat and active shooter training.

No Charge Site Security Visit from the Department of Homeland Security
Several DHS resources are offered such as (but not limited to):
· Facility Walkthrough with Verbal recommendations for Security Hardening
· Facility Walkthrough with Verbal and written recommendations for Security Hardening
· Active Shooter Preparedness Training (includes plan templates, videos, and other resources)
· Assistance with Review of Security and Emergency Plans
· Unclassified Information Analysis on Threats and Attacks
· Special Event Planning Support
· Nominations for Security Clearances (to participate in quarterly classified and on-demand briefings)
· Speaking engagement (key note speeches and panels)
· Training on how to use the new DHS K-12 School Security Self-Assessment Tool
Also, for those who are not aware, the State of California Nonprofit Security Grant is due shortly and the FEMA Nonprofit Security Grant will likely be announced this spring. Each grant provides for up to $75,000 for target hardening and other physical security enhancements to nonprofit organizations that are at high risk of a terrorist attack.
Both grants are administered through the California Governor's Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES), Grants Management.
