Friends of Canyon Hills Open Space

Friends of Canyon Hills Open Space Canyon Hills Park is an open space area in the northeast corner of Mira Mesa, a neighborhood of San Diego, California.

The 2006 Mira Mesa Community Plan (http://www.sandiego.gov/planning/community/profiles/miramesa/pdf/mmcpfv.pdf) defines Canyon Hills as a "Resource-based Park." It encompasses about 60 acres, including all or part of Mount Miramar (844 ft elevation). The open space is coastal chaparral (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chaparral).
