READ/San Diego Family Literacy Services READ/San Diego Family Literacy Services (FLS) is designed to break the cycle of intergenerational low-literacy.

Programs available at the following San Diego Public Libraries:
Valencia Park/Malcolm X | City Heights-Weingart | Serra Mesa-Kearny Mesa | Logan Heights | Skyline Hills FLS supports parents and caregivers with young children the skills they need to be their children's first and most important teacher. FLS provides age-appropriate books to help families build home libraries - a critical component for improving literacy for the whole family.
