Last Friday evening near Jim Johnson Sports Park, deputies conducted a traffic stop for multiple vehicle code violations. During the stop, the driver and passenger consented to a vehicle search, which led to the discovery of illicit narcotics, drug paraphernalia, items commonly associated with drug sales, and approximately $3,300 in cash. Deputies also located multiple fi****ms, including shotguns, handguns, and ammunition inside the vehicle. Both occupants were arrested on multiple weapons and narcotics-related charges.

Traffic enforcement plays an important role in keeping our streets safe. Last week, during a traffic stop on South El Camino Real near Cristianitos, deputies located a loaded firearm inside the vehicle. The driver was cited and the firearm was confiscated.
