DISASTER RECOVERY ASSISTANCE IS HERE FOR OUR COMMUNITY

Following the devastating October flooding, the Tribal Emergency Response Commission (TERC) worked tirelessly to document damages, coordinate response efforts, gather critical data, and advocate on behalf of our community. Those efforts played an important role in supporting the request that ultimately resulted in President Donald J. Trump approving a federal disaster declaration for the San Carlos Apache Tribe.

Now it’s time for our community to take the next step.

If your home, property, or business was impacted by the flooding in October 10-13, 2025, FEMA and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) are on site to help you register for disaster assistance and answer your questions.

📍 Location: Gilson Wash Head Start
📅 Tuesday – Saturday (Now through August 1)
🕗 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Even if you have insurance, don’t wait for your insurance claim to be settled before applying. FEMA and SBA can explain what assistance may be available to you.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the recovery effort—from first responders, Tribal departments, volunteers, and community members who helped document damages and support one another during a difficult time. Recovery is a team effort, and we’re committed to helping our community rebuild stronger than before.

Please share this post so we can reach every eligible family, homeowner, renter, business, nonprofit, and church that may qualify for assistance.

⚡ SCIP Power Outage Update ⚡

Here’s the latest update from SCIP: Crews have partially restored power, and some areas are now back online. However, they are still actively troubleshooting the lines from Feldman to San Carlos and Peridot.

At this time, outages may still be affecting portions of the community. SCIP crews remain on-site working to fully resolve the issue as quickly and safely as possible.

Please continue to be patient and take necessary precautions while power is being restored. We’ll share updates as more information becomes available.
