📃San Bruno Budget in Brief for FY2027

🔗On June 9, the City Manager presented his recommended budget to the City Council. Check it out at SanBruno.ca.gov/Finance

During City Council's regular meeting for June 23, they will decide whether or not to approve this budget. Although the budget is balanced, all departments had to close or freeze their open job positions.

Our general fund -- tax revenue we have more freedom to use for local services -- are at risk due to changes with the state government. As much as 21 million is at risk.

🙌The City is considering potential tax measures and is actively working on economic development strategies for the near term and the future to improve revenues. Learn more about this at ElevateSanBruno.org

🗓️Consider attending the Council's first meeting of next year on July 14 where they may discuss potential ballot initiatives to improve revenue or support sustainable business growth.

🚚Sewer Camera Truck in Action

Hey San Bruno! Curious about how we maintain the City's sewer lines?

Meet the Sewer Camera Truck. It lets us run a camera through our sewer lines and inspect work, identify issues, and guide proactive maintenance.

In the past, the size of sewer lines limited our ability to check and get an exact picture of the condition of our sewer system.

This bit of technology:
✅Saves water
✅Saves money and time
✅Lowers the risk of a big mess down the line from lack of prompt repair💩

Most importantly, this work is funded by the fees you pay for wastewater -- no additional taxes. Learn more about sewer and other major improvements planned at SanBruno.ca.gov/CIP

That’s a wrap on National Public Works Week! 🚧

We closed out the week with story time, songs, goodie bags, and a touch-a-truck visit at the Library — sharing a little bit of what Public Works does with some of San Bruno’s youngest community members.

Public Works is rooted in service, powered by community, and built for the future.

After today, we’re pretty sure we saw a few future public works professionals in the crowd.

Thank you for following along as we celebrated the people, services, and everyday work that help keep San Bruno running.
