🎶 “You’ve Got a Friend in Me…” 🎶 🧸💙

Sometimes the smallest gestures can make the biggest impact.

While out serving our community, one of our officers took a moment to stop, say hello, and brighten a young girl’s day with a department sticker and a teddy bear. Moments like these remind us that policing is more than responding to calls it’s about building relationships, creating trust, and being a friend to the communities we serve.

A smile, a conversation, and a teddy bear may seem simple, but these positive interactions help create lasting memories and strengthen the bond between law enforcement and the families we are honored to serve.

Because at SBCUSD Police, every child matters, every connection counts, and every young person should know…

💙 You’ve Got a Friend in Me. 🐻👮‍♂️

Rest easy Sir, Thank you for your service 💙💔 our deepest thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and colleagues.

From: It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our SEBA President, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Sgt. Grant Ward, who was called home after a long and courageous battle with cancer on February 1, 2026. He passed peacefully, surrounded by his wife, two daughters and his large, loving family. A dedicated sergeant and a tireless advocate for our members, Grant led with integrity, strength, and heart.

He was a loving husband and father. He also considered each and every SEBA member as one of his family. Grant was a man whose zest for life never faded, even in the face of his arduous treatments and procedures. He taught us to confront challenges with faith, determination, and a little bit of humor, reminding us that laughter truly is the best medicine.

We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support from our members and community. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Memorial information will be shared in the coming days, once it is confirmed.
