YVYLA Successfully Motivating African-Americans through Resiliency Training Young Visionaries| Successfully Motivating African-Americans through Resiliency Training, SMAART. A Project Based off the Community Engagement Plan.

The five SMAART Goals
1). Increase the percentage of parent’s awareness in successful “parenting practices”, preparing their kids from cradle to career;

2). Reduce rates of student suspension by 10% or better;

3). Improve the knowledge of students in African American history;

4). Achieve a collaborative result that includes, San Bernardino County Vision, San Bernardino County Superintendent of

Schools’ and San Bernardino Unified Schools community engagement plan;

5). Increase the number of African-American students participating in creative nutrition and health programs.
