Hello All!

Tomorrow is a really exciting day, as the Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band will be traveling to San Bernardino Valley College to perform for adjudicators and receive feedback to improve our performance. Attached below is our call sheet for the day. The performances are open to the public at 3:15pm and 7:00pm in the Recital Hall (NH 164) at Valley College.

Students, please be aware that the bus times have changed. You will no longer need to report to the band room during your fifth-period class, instead please use the lunch period to change into your concert attire as we will not be able to change at Valley College. Instead please report to the band room at the start of the sixth period. Thank you.

Hello All!!!

I wanted to share some exciting news that the San G Band recently received. Ivan Rivas, a senior trumpet player with the San G Wind Ensemble was accepted to the All Southern Honor Band and the All State Honor Band. This is a huge a accomplishment and we are all very proud of his hard work. These ensembles are made up of the best young musicians in the state and Ivan has worked diligently to be accepted. Congratulations Ivan. You will represent San G well!!!!

Later tonight is our Fall Concert. Hoping to see you all there. There has been some slight confusion about the start time for the concert. The concert tonight will start at 7pm and will be in the theater of San Gorgonio High School. I look forward to seeing you all tonight!

Hello All!!! At 6pm on Tuesday, August 9th there will be a mandatory parent meeting for all parents of students in the marching band. The meeting will be in the band room E-7. We will be going over important items, such as the schedule for the year, expectations, and how you can get involved. I look forward to meeting you all.

Hello All! I am excited to announce that after lots of hard work from administration band camp WILL BE HAPPENING. As per the request of administration, the hours of camp have to be altered due to conflicts with professional development meetings for teachers and staff. The NEW HOURS for camp will be from 3 to 8pm. Please remember to bring water, close toed shoes, a hat and a sack lunch for our dinner break. I am looking forward to the upcoming season and excited we can start as planned.

Hello All! Unfortunately due to the timeline of the HR and onboarding process the student leader day on July 26th will have to be canceled. Also band camp may have to be canceled based on the processing timeline. I will make an announcement on Tuesday about band camp. Unfortunately, there is nothing San G administration or myself can do to expedite the process. Rest assured, we will try to make up the lost time once I can get started.

Hello All! I wanted to take a moment to reach out and briefly introduce myself. My name is Mr. Quijada and I am excited to be the new band director at San G. I am a recent graduate from the University of Redlands and was fortunate to complete my student teaching at San Gorgonio High School. I am so excited to be taking over this program and I am looking forward to all that we are able to accomplish. Right now I am working with Human Resources to start on campus and I am hoping to get started as soon as possible.

A message from Mr. Nabhan:
For anyone who was unable to make the meeting tonight, I announced that I am leaving San G. I have accepted the opportunity to become an assistant principal at Citrus Valley HS in Redlands. It was a hard decision to leave San G. I have loved every minute about working here…The students, my colleagues, parents and families, and everyone who helped support the vision I had for the program. San G gave me so much, and it will always have a special place in my heart.

I will actively be involved in interviewing and selecting the next director. I will help choose the best person possible to lead this band program through a new chapter.

A big thank you, to anyone who may read this, for letting me serve as the director of this program. I’m proud of what we accomplished. All the best.

Graduation band is back!!

As we say goodbye to one class, we welcome new students into our program. Today and Tuesday, we held 2 clinics for students who are interested in being apart of marching band and we had a great turn-out. Our future is looking very bright!
