This academy is a rigorous six-month training that prepares officers to serve our community. Dangerous Fireworks:
1st Offense - $2,500
2nd Offense within 36 months - $5,000
3rd Offense after/within 36 months - $10,000

Safe and Sane Fireworks (When Used Illegally):
1st Offense - $1,000
2nd Offense within 36 months - $2,500
3rd Offense after/within 36 months - $5,000

Violations:
Admin Civil Penalties
Each violation $1,000 per day
Up to $100,000

Response Cost:
In addition to any fines or penalties, individuals who violate the City’s fireworks laws will be held responsible for the costs of emergency response services resulting from the use of illegal fireworks.

COPS VS GAMERS 🎮🔥

This week, we teamed up with Magnolia Heights Middle School for a very exciting event- Cops vs. Gamers! Addrenaline ran high as officers played multiple heated matches of Super Smash against some of the school's top gamers.
Thank you Magnolia Heights Middle School for allowing us to join in on the fun. Outreach programs like these allow us to build unique connections and offer fun alternatives to our other engaging sports-related events.

TORCH RUN

Yesterday, we were proud to take part in the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics Southern California, carrying the Flame of Hope during our segment of the relay. We are especially thankful for our dedicated employees who volunteered to participate and represent our organization with pride. Their commitment to giving back and supporting atheletes of all abilities reflects the values we strive to uphold every day. 🔥🤍💙

DANGEROUS ENCOUNTER

Recently, officers responded to a call regarding a suspect who was armed with two knives and threatened a bystander. Upon the officer's arrival, the suspect fled on foot, leading officers on a pursuit. Eventually, he was taken into custody, and the knives were recovered.
