Free Soil Testing for Agricultural Producers!

Are you an agricultural producer in the Arroyo Colorado watershed (Hidalgo, Cameron, and Willacy counties)? You are eligible for free soil testing!

No acreage requirement and no limit on samples

Soil samples accepted from September 7, 2026 - March 31, 2027

Soil test results available within 2-3 weeks.

Pick up sample bags, forms, and sampling instructions at the locations below (your local AgriLife Center or the Harligen TSSWCB office).

Teaming up to protect livestock across the state.

Texas A&M faculty were featured in BEEF Magazine for their work to combat New World Screwworm infections in livestock. The team is helping to formulate wound care treatments designed to deliver rapid larval death and minimize chemical residues.
