Great walkthrough at Arnold Park this Saturday with neighbors and our Parks & Recreation team!

The new dog park is almost ready to open, and 100 new trees are coming to bring more shade across the park. We also talked through what’s next—from patching the walking trail and removing dead trees to better lighting and an additional water fountain.

Thank you to Parks Director Homer Garcia, his team, and everyone who joined us to share ideas and help shape what’s next.

New Life Christian Center (NLCC) held its annual 9/11 Commemoration at the San Antonio 9/11 Memorial, located at their church in District 4.

This morning, we honored the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and remembered the first responders and everyday Americans who showed incredible courage in the face of tragedy.

Thank you to NLCC for creating a space where our community can remember and reflect, not only today, but throughout the year.

More than a year in the making, work is officially underway on Medina Base Road!

Since taking office, I’ve worked to move this much-needed reconstruction from Five Palms Dr. to Holm Rd./Whitewood forward, and now we’re finally seeing work hit the pavement.

Medina Base will be reduced to one eastbound lane during construction hours, beginning at Five Palms Dr. Construction is expected to continue through February 2027, weather permitting. Please use alternate routes when possible, and thank you for your patience while we get this work done.

The District 4 team provided its third food distribution within a week. Today, with help from San Antonio Food Bank, we assisted 150 households by distributing fruit, vegetables, water, and nonperishable foods to families affected by last month’s storm. We are also working to help provide information on a home repair program for affected areas across the city, including District 4.

Huge thanks to our amazing volunteers for their hard work distributing boxes of fresh produce to our community yesterday! We're also grateful to River City Produce and to our generous silent community partner who made this event possible.

Next Tuesday, we’ll be back at Miller's Pond for another distribution. If you or anyone you know still needs assistance, feel free to reach out to my office or send us a message. We’re here to help!

We’re calling on our District 4 neighbors and partners to lend a hand!

As we prepare for tomorrow’s 5 p.m. food distribution at Pearsall Park, we could use some extra helping hands. If you’re available to volunteer, we’d be grateful to have you join us.
