SAPLF Literacy Caravan

SAPLF Literacy Caravan To promote family literacy, foster a love of reading and lifelong learning, and connect families with the San Antonio Public Library.

The San Antonio Public Library Foundation, Scholastic, United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County, and the San Antonio Public Library have joined together to bring the Literacy Caravan to San Antonio. The Caravan is a large RV that has been converted into a mobile classroom complete with desk, chair, and bulletin boards. The Caravan is a unique resource that provides fun, interactive reading and l

iteracy programming. It will be making regular visits to branch libraries in the San Antonio Public Library System and limited visits to other places including non-profit organizations, early childhood centers, schools and businesses. The Caravan will be parked on the grounds of special event, where parents and children will be able to board the Caravan to share in literacy-building activities designed to help make reading fun!
