Northside ISD is located in northwest San Antonio and is the fourth largest school district in the state of Texas. The District is home to 120 schools including six specialized magnet high schools. Despite our size, we still maintain a cohesive, family-friendly atmosphere that places the utmost importance on student success, community involvement, and fiscal responsibility. NISD proudly announces the 2026 Athletics Hall of Honor Class. Join us in celebrating an outstanding group of athletes, coaches, teams, and leaders whose excellence and impact have shaped Northside’s proud athletic legacy.

This year’s honorees include Rita “The Rocket” Crockett, Charles “Bo” Outlaw, Boone Logan, Josh Reynolds, the 1991 Jay Volleyball Team, the 2003 Clark Volleyball Team, Coach Gary Malesky, Coach Romy Vela, and Dr. John Folks.

More than 200 Special Education Instructional Assistants came together for a full day of growth and collaboration at the NISD IA Summer Splash 2026. Congratulations to the Brennan AFJROTC PT Team, who were and took 3rd in the Nation (Mixed Division) at the National JROTC Fitness Challenge Championships in Daytona Beach. They also placed third in double broad jump, ball toss, and obstacle course, and 5th in pull-up/flex arm hang. Way to go, Brennan Bears! 🐻🏆
