Helotes Elementary librarian, Mrs. Elizondo is hatching researchers! She has teamed up with the STEM teacher on campus to bring the hands-on, real-world experience of hatching and raising chicks to students🐥 🐣! Students can observe the eggs as well as the chicks, and consult a great display in the library to learn more. Collaboration really does result in the best learning experiences for kids!

At Ross, approximately 86% of our students are economically disadvantaged, compared with about 51% across the district. That tells me there is a real need to provide our students with access to high-interest, diverse, quality books."
