As we remember September 11, 2001, many of us can still remember exactly where we were when we heard the news and watched our nation change before our eyes.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to honor all the lives lost, during and after, the families who carry their memories each day, and the brave first responders and heroes on that day who ran toward danger to help others.

We especially recognize the men and women who serve our communities here in Bexar County. Their courage, sacrifice, and commitment to protecting others remind us of the strength that comes from service and standing together in times of need.

May we never forget the lives lost, the heroes who answered the call, and the unity that brought our nation together.

This Saturday, September 12th, come out to Rosedale Park during the Grandfamilies & Kinship Picnic and take advantage of convenient County Clerk services right in your neighborhood! 🚐📑

Hispanic Heritage Month is here!!!

National Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated each year from September 15 through October 15 to recognize and celebrate the history, culture, traditions, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans.
The observance began in 1968, when President Lyndon B. Johnson signed legislation establishing National Hispanic Heritage Week. The week was chosen to coincide with September 15 and 16, dates that mark the independence celebrations of several Latin American countries, including Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua, as well as Mexico’s Independence Day on September 16.
In 1988, Congress expanded the observance from one week to a 30-day celebration, and President Ronald Reagan signed it into law on August 17, 1988. The first National Hispanic Heritage Month was observed the following year, from September 15 through October 15.

Our newest exhibit - HORSEMEN, RANCHERS & THE ROOTS OF TEXAS TRADITION - is now open to the public on the first floor of the Bexar County Courthouse, 100 Dolorosa, San Antonio, TX 78205. Stop by and discover the rich history, culture, and traditions of the horsemen and ranchers who helped shape the story of South Texas. We are deeply grateful for our partnership with the Villaseñor and Tovar Families, whose generosity in sharing their meaningful items made this exhibit possible.

This is our community coming together!

San Antonio Coalition for Veterans and Families - SACVF helped 80 yo Army Veteran and his wife who’s power went out in the Westside of SA.
Bexar County Clerk, Hon. Lucy Adame-Clark referred them to SACVF.
His wife, very sweet lady, told me they had been sleeping in their car with their pets because the Veteran didn’t want to leave his home. They finally got into their home but all their food was lost due to no power.
SACVF was able to give them an HEB gift card for $100.
Referred to Ms Sandra Banks from the Arbutus Pantry so they can receive more food.
SACVF is here to support those that are in need with emergency support.

This past Saturday, our Bexar County Clerk’s Records on the Run mobile unit set a new record for the number of constituents assisted in a single outing! 🎉

We were honored to be part of the Veterans Appreciation Event at Sip & Sit with ME Coffee House where J. Alexander Law Firm sponsored a delicious BBQ lunch from LeftField BBQ. 🇺🇸🍖

Bexar County Clerk, Hon. Lucy Adame-Clark was honored to speak with and celebrate our Veterans, and even had the opportunity to perform a wedding after the couple purchased their marriage license on site! 💍❤️ Sylvia M. Ruiz, Justice of the Peace, Precinct 1 Place 1 also helped several couples tie the knot.

A special thank you to the Bexar County Department of Military and Veterans Services for tabling alongside us and providing Veterans with vital information and resources. 🇺🇸🤝

From serving our constituents and honoring Veterans to celebrating love and supporting beloved Southside small businesses, it was truly a rewarding, fun, and record-breaking day!

Thank you to everyone who made it so special, especially to our employees of the County Clerk’s Office for servicing constituents on a Saturday! 🤝❤️

Today, we pause to honor the life and legacy of Dolly Parton, a remarkable entertainer, philanthropist, and advocate whose kindness reached far beyond the stage.

Dolly also holds a special place in San Antonio’s history. From performing locally in the 1960s to appearing in our San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo in 1970, she left her mark on our community early in her legendary career.

Her commitment to children and literacy has also touched families right here in SA through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of San Antonio.

As the Bexar County Clerk, Hon. Lucy Adame-Clark Office, we are proud to recognize those who have contributed to the history, culture, and spirit of our community, and Dolly’s legacy of music, generosity, literacy, compassion, and joy will continue to inspire generations.
