πŸ”₯ WILDFIRE SAFETY: PREPARE. PREVENT. PROTECT. πŸ”₯

Hot, dry, and windy conditions can allow wildfires to spread quickly. Help protect your home, family, and community by taking these important precautions:

βœ… Clear leaves, dead plants, and debris from around your home.
βœ… Trim trees and keep branches away from your roof.
βœ… Create defensible space around all structures.
βœ… Avoid outdoor burning during hot, dry, or windy conditions.
βœ… Report smoke or fire immediately by calling 911.

A few preventive steps today can make a major difference during a wildfire emergency. Stay alert, follow local burn restrictions, and help keep our community safe.

BC2FD members recently completed live-fire training using our new Thermal Imaging Cameras (TICs). These cameras are an important tool that helps firefighters quickly locate victims, identify areas of heat, and determine how fire is developing and spreading within a structure.

Investing in equipment that enhances firefighter safety and improves our ability to locate and rescue victims is an important part of our commitment to providing effective emergency services. We also recognize the responsibility that comes with every equipment purchase and work to ensure our resources are used wisely and maintained to the highest standards.

Regular, hands-on training ensures our members remain proficient with this equipment and prepared to respond when our community needs us most.
