⭐️ Next in our Bobcat Alumni Legacy series... 💙🐾
🎓 A proud South San alumnus, Reggie Serna’s journey began at Kazen Elementary School and continued to South San Antonio High School, where he was actively involved in football, basketball, track, and golf.
After graduating in 1996, Serna continued his education at Southwest Texas State University. Today, he proudly serves the district that helped shape him as a Spanish teacher and Golf Coach at South San Antonio High School, giving back to the school community that was once such an important part of his own journey.
Reflecting on his time as a student, Serna shares, “One of my greatest memories is being on the stage as my son walked the stage for graduation and became an alumnus.”
From creating memories as a student-athlete to proudly watching his own son become a Bobcat alumnus, Serna’s connection to South San has come full circle. Today, he continues that Bobcat legacy by teaching, coaching, and inspiring the next generation of students right here at South San Antonio High School. 👏

🎓 Orgullosamente egresado de South San, la trayectoria de Reggie Serna comenzó en Kazen Elementary School y continuó en South San Antonio High School, donde participó activamente en fútbol americano, baloncesto, atletismo y golf.
Después de graduarse en 1996, Serna continuó sus estudios en Southwest Texas State University. Hoy, se enorgullece de servir al distrito que contribuyó a su formación como maestro de español y entrenador de golf en South San Antonio High School, devolviendo a la comunidad escolar que fue una parte tan importante de su propia historia.
Al recordar su etapa como estudiante, Serna comparte: “Uno de mis mejores recuerdos fue estar en el escenario mientras mi hijo caminaba por el escenario para graduarse y convertirse en exalumno.”
Desde crear recuerdos como estudiante-atleta hasta ver con orgullo a su propio hijo convertirse en exalumno Bobcat, la conexión de Serna con South San ha cerrado un círculo. Hoy, continúa ese legado Bobcat enseñando, entrenando e inspirando a la próxima generación de estudiantes aquí mismo en South San Antonio High School. 👏
