The Academy Doors will open at 0730 on Tuesday 25 August 2026 for in-processing. A welcome email was sent 4 weeks prior to start date. If you have not received one, please reach out to our SRO team.

What can you do to prepare for the course?
1) Make sure your OCPs, Service Dress, and Air Force Fitness Uniforms are prepared for the course and are within AFI 36-2903 standards.
2) Be on the lookout for an email from "TDY to School" with guidance on how to book your travel.
3) Get familiar with the course and prerequisite reading by going to htpps://www.jbsa.mil/resources/education/RGNCOA/

While we are willing to help, please contact your Unit Training Manager and Base Formal Training Manager first.

The Robert D. Gaylor Noncommissioned Officer Academy at Joint Base San Antonio–Lackland is seeking motivated, dynamic NCOs ready for a meaningful opportunity outside their traditional career field.
