The days are dwindling at P*e Wee Bees, and I can’t help but be sad about it. We are still open for play, but for only 15 more days. The last day to play is Tuesday, February 21. Starting on February 22, people will be picking up the toys, furniture, etc. that they won in our auction.

I know some our customers like to visit P*e Wee Bees only in the summer, or only when it rains. That will not be an option this year. If you want your child to enjoy P*e Wee Bees one last time before we close forever, it has got to be now.

P*e Wee Bees is going out of business. The last day to play is February 21, 2017. We are auctioning almost every object in the store. From January 1, 2017 to February 20, 2017, you can bid on these items by phone (210-521-2337), by email (Steven@P*eWeeBees.com), or in person (5511 W. Loop 1604 N. #111, San Antonio, TX 78251). Your bid should include the following information:

1. Your full name
2. Your phone number
3. Your email address
4. The item you want
5. Your bid
6. Your maximum bid

The items for sale are listing on our website. Click on menu item “Auction” to get to the right web page. Click on each item to get more information about it, including photograph.

If somebody outbids you, we will increase your bid by just enough to beat that other person’s bid, but never more than your maximum. Here is an example:

Your bid is $5 and your maximum bid is $10. “Mary” bids $4 with a maximum bid of $9. Your $5 beats Mary’s $4, but she’s willing to go higher. We automatically raise her bid to $5.01 in order to beat your bid. But you are willing to go higher too, so we automatically raise your bid to $5.02. To make a long story short, Mary keeps bidding until $9.00 and you win with $9.01.

We will list your first name and the first letter of your last name (“Steven Alexander” ==> “Steven A.”) and your bid on this web page. You can check to see if you are still winning. If there is someone else’s name, you can send us another bid.

After the last day of play (February 21, 2017), people who win their items will have four days (until Saturday, February 25, 2017) to come to P*e Wee Bees, pay for their items, and take them home. Anything unclaimed on Sunday, February 26, 2017 will go to somebody else. The store must be empty by February 28, 2017.

The large play houses and play structures will require some disassembly by the buyer. Your ability to disassemble them is not guaranteed. Payment is due before you begin to disassemble and all sales are final.

The inflatable room & slide & basketball net weighs 350 pounds. We will include the blower (which is also heavy, but can be carried) and a detachable “Twister” pad (which is also bulky).

Most of the items below have links to web pages that show the toys. The current version of a toy on the Internet may be slightly different (color or size) from the toy we have for auction.

Merry Christmas, everybody!

I hope, when your child is surrounded by open boxes and there are toys all over the place, stretching out to the horizon, he or she will say: “Thank you Mommy, thank you Daddy, thank you Santa. This is the best Christmas ever, as good as a day at P*e Wee Bees.”

Okay, okay, I flatter myself. I wanted to remind everybody that P*e Wee Bees will be closed all day on Saturday, December 24 and Sunday, December 25. The Alexander family will have the weekend together. We are open all the other days in December, and I hope some of you will visit. (Closed for New Year’s Day on January 1, as well.)

We reached another milestone with our membership. Children have visited P*e Wee Bees over 6000 times with their monthly passes or annual passes. That’s a lot of play. Check our congratulations list of ten kids who, together, have played here over 550 times – seven are current members, one was a member during most of her visits.

When your child is a member, it changes everything. You can drop in between errands for a half hour of play. Your kids went to the places you wanted to go, reward them with a place they want to go. For $42.95 per month, visit 8, 10, 12, ... 31 times.

I took my son, David, to Six Flags Fiesta Texas on Labor Day. We had a great time and I noticed a lot of differences between Six Flags and P*e Wee Bees. I don't mean to criticize Six Flags, but I'm pleased that my place can compete on the cost and quality of the experience.

It took us 30 minutes and $20 to reach our parking space from the 1604. Parking is fast and free at P*e Wee Bees.

Single day tickets were $59 for David and $59 for me. P*e Wee Bees costs $10 per child and adults are free.

Lunch was about $10 each and drinks were a few dollars more. Burgers and pizza are $1.84 at P*e Wee Bees and drinks are 92 cents.

We waited about an hour for each 5 minutes of entertainment (the rides). There’s no waiting to play at P*e Wee Bees.

It was always a long walk and a bit of a hunt to get to the restrooms. Not so at P*e Wee Bees. I didn’t think to check – David’s 13 years old – but I doubt the Fiesta rest rooms had free diapers.

It was sometimes hard to find a comfortable place to sit. P*e Wee Bees has the latest innovation in chairs and couches – padding.

We used sunscreen and hoped it was enough. Nobody needs sunscreen at P*e Wee Bees.

We got a lemonade on the way out. Can't use our refillable cups. $5. Cash only. That’s 5 cans of soda, juice, or milk at P*e Wee Bees.

We were pretty tired and hot on the walk out to the parking lot. Not an issue at P*e Wee Bees.

Fiesta Texas is open on weekends only this fall. P*e Wee Bees is open 7 days a week.

Many of the rides are off limits to your child (and that’s for the best). Your child can play with everything at P*e Wee Bees.

Fiesta Texas has procedures and facilities to deal with lost children. P*e Wee Bees never had lost children.

P*e Wee Bees has a free sticker and cookie for kids when they leave. Fiesta Texas sells souvenirs and food all the way to the edge of the park.
