🌟🇺🇸 Honoring Our Heroes at Oak Meadow Elementary 🇺🇸🌟
Today, our students and teachers proudly donned red, white, and blue and wrote thank you notes in a heartfelt tribute to the brave first responders—firefighters, police officers, and all those who protect our community.
In remembrance of Patriot Day, we not only celebrate their courage and dedication but also reflect on the unity and resilience that brings us together. ❤️🤍💙

Thank you to everyone who gave in the Green Back campaign we’re grateful for everyone’s generosity and support!!!! Students can’t wait to see their administrators and teachers get SLIMED!!!! Greenback Week has officially come to an end, and you all took us WAY past the finish line!

🏆 FINAL SCORE: $17,372.65! 🏆

Our original goal was $12,000. Then you helped us power up to our $14,000 stretch goal. And somehow… you kept going!

And now for the part you’ve all been waiting for…

🟣 2ND GRADE takes the HIGH SCORE with $4,109.60! 🏆
Congratulations, 2nd Grade! Your on campus IMAX movie day with popcorn 🍿 and drinks 🥤 is coming!
And because we reached that $14,000 stretch goal…

🟢 OUR PRINCIPALS ARE GETTING SLIMED! …and now we get to bring some teachers into the slime zone too! And for the top three earning grade levels, we get to slime the following teachers: Mrs. Gandy from 2nd Grade, Mr. Shay from 4th Grade, and Mrs. Stimpson from 3rd grade!!

A reminder that Monday, September 7 is a student and staff holiday. Our campus, along with all NEISD campuses and District offices, will be closed.

We hope our students, staff and families enjoy the extra day off! Rest, recharge and have some fun—we’ll see everyone back at school on Tuesday! 😁

WE ARE SO CLOSE, MAVERICKS! We’ve now raised $11,565.08 toward our $12,000 goal! That means we are only $434.92 away from SLIMING Principals Imken and Purcell!

And a huge shoutout to everyone who brought money this morning. We collected a whopping $729.97 in cash and checks today alone!

🌟 What an incredible first PTA meeting last night🎶 Our talented choir absolutely dazzled us with a fabulous rendition of the school song, setting the perfect tone for the evening. We were also introduced to our amazing staff and the dedicated PTA executive board members who work tirelessly for our school community.
