June is Men's Health Month, making it an important time to recognize that mental health affects everyone.

Many men grow up receiving messages that they should be strong, self-reliant, or handle challenges on their own. These expectations can make it difficult to talk about emotions, ask for help, or seek support after experiencing trauma.
Mental health struggles do not discriminate. Men experience anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and stress just like anyone else. Seeking support is not a sign of weakness—it is a sign of courage.

For male survivors, finding a safe and supportive space to connect with others who understand can be an important step in the healing process.
💙 Men's Survivor Support Group
📅 Beginning July 9
🕠 Thursdays, 5:30 PM–6:30 PM
💻 Virtual Group
This group provides a supportive environment for male survivors to share experiences, build connections, and explore healing alongside others who understand.

Primary Prevention initiatives are deliberate about uprooting attitudes, behaviors, and social norms that create a culture in which sexual violence is more likely to occur. We encourage communities to go beyond risk reduction and awareness raising and move towards primary prevention efforts.
~

Levels of prevention in sexual assault are critical to reducing prevalence and mitigating harm - a multi-layered, public health approach addressing individual to societal factors is essential, as focusing only on response is insufficient to reduce rates. We invite you to share this with others to learn more about the spectrum of prevention!

Mental Health Monday!

Shutdown isn’t laziness. It isn’t a lack of discipline or ambition.

What if it’s your mind and body signaling that something deeper needs attention?
Burnout, overwhelm, emotional fatigue—these don’t show up as motivation. They show up as pause. As silence. As “I can’t right now.”

Instead of judging the moment, try listening to it.
