Congratulations to our amazing Teacher of the Week, 8th grade U.S. History teacher, Crystal Laubach! 💜

Mrs. Laubach consistently goes above and beyond to support both students and colleagues. Her willingness to lend a helping hand and collaborate with others truly exemplifies what it means to be a team player. Whether assisting fellow teachers, supporting campus initiatives, or stepping in wherever needed, her positive attitude and dependable nature do not go unnoticed.

Mrs. Laubach has also demonstrated exceptional skill and compassion in working with students who receive special education services. Her patience, understanding, and commitment to meeting the diverse needs of all learners create a welcoming and supportive classroom environment where students feel valued and encouraged to succeed.

In addition, her organization and timeliness contribute greatly to the success of her classroom and team. Her preparedness, attention to detail, and consistent professionalism help ensure that students and colleagues alike can rely on her every day.

8th Graders Take Home Best Sound for their work on Henry Brown Mails Himself to Freedom at the 90-Second Newbury Film Festival held May 9th at the Tobin Center downtown!

Their film took home Best Sound in the middle school/high school division!

PRMS Students Honored at the 90-Second Newbery Film Festival!!

🎬🏆Congratulations to 8th graders Saziya C., Laylah H., Aika H., and Jadie S., who were recognized for their outstanding film editing skills at the 90-Second Newbery Film Festival held May 9 at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts.

The students were nominated for their work on Henry Brown Mails Himself to Freedom, a short film adaptation of the Newbery Award-winning book Henry’s Freedom Box by Ellen Levine.

Their film received two nominations in the middle school/high school division:
🏆Best Sound
🏆Best Visual Effects

🏆The team proudly brought home the award for Best Sound.

Additional students who contributed to filming and production included Cadence C., Orhan D., Elizabeth V., and Sebastian P.
We are incredibly proud of these students for their creativity, collaboration, and hard work representing PRMS through digital storytelling and filmmaking excellence.

Congrats to ELA teacher, Mrs. Jennifer Wright for inspiring her students to film, produce and submit this entry!
