It is our pleasure to introduce Krystal Abney, as the new Principal of NSITE High School. Mrs Abney was formerly the Associate Principal at Health Careers High School. Before that she was at John Jay High School as the Academic Dean. She attended the University of Michigan for her Bachelors and Masters degrees. She firmly believes in the power of education to transform humankind through student access to options and opportunities. Throughout her career, she has led innovative programming, strengthened academic systems, and built powerful partnerships that elevated student opportunities and outcomes. Her leadership experience, combined with her deep understanding of magnet programming, makes her an incredible asset to the NSITE community. She is a visionary leader who believes in students, supports teachers, and understands how to build strong systems that last. Most importantly, she understands our students and our community. She is excited to be a part of the NSITE family.

BC/ NSITE Alumni Spotlight:

Darold Williamson class of 2001. State champion, 200m, 400m. He is a 2005 graduate of Baylor University. He ran the anchor leg on the gold medal winning 4 × 400 meter relay team for the US at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. He won World Championship gold medals on two subsequent relay teams. While at Baylor University, Williamson won the Big 12 Conference championship in the 400-meter run three years in a row from 2001 to 2003. He set a personal best of 44.27 seconds in the 400-meter run in the semifinals of the NCAA Outdoor Championships in 2005.

NSITE, formerly known as Business Careers High School is a business and technology "school within a school" located on the campus of Oliver Wendell Holmes High School.

Big congratulations to Sergio Perez on earning a $1,000 scholarship from the National Technical Honor Society! 🎉 Sergio was recognized for exemplifying the 7 attributes of NTHS and will attend the University of Houston this fall to major in Accounting. We’re so proud of your hard work and leadership!

Our entrepreneurship underclassmen are also ending the year strong! Mrs. Vasquez’s Entrepreneurship Class all attained their Small Business and Entrepreneurship Certification from Northwest Vista. With Elijah Walker earning an astounding 940/1000!

NSITE even had three freshmen attain the certification as well. This just goes to show the opportunities NSITE never fails to provide for our students, and the consistent success our students have in attaining them. Congratulations! ✨💚

Huge congratulations to our NSITE students for earning their Entrepreneurship & Small Business certifications! 🎉 Our VEI, senior class achieved a 100% ESB pass rate, with additional certifications earned by our IT cybersecurity and computer programming students. So proud of their hard work and dedication! 👏💼💻
