We are celebrating World Environment Day with a major accomplishment!
Today our team commissioned the rooftop solar system at Ron Darner Parks and Recreation Headquarters. We're proud to have a $30 million municipal solar program that’s halfway completed. With over 50 rooftop and parking canopy locations, the solar program is estimated to save our city $1.8 M annually!

We're excited to partner with with friends at EcoRise to celebrate their 8th Annual Student Innovation Showcase. Join us and see the climate solutions these amazing students have been working on this year!

What does it look like when students turn curiosity about water, food, and waste into real solutions for their communities? Come find out. 🌱

We're thrilled to kick off showcase season with the 8th Annual San Antonio Student Innovation Showcase on Thursday, May 7, from 5:30–7:00 pm at UTSA Downtown Campus (Durango Building, Riverwalk Room). Elementary, middle, and high school students from across the greater San Antonio region will present their Student Innovation Grant projects in a science-fair-style format, and the San Antonio Youth Climate Council will share the community work they've been leading this year.
