Today, we had a unique opportunity to host a change of command and change of responsibility ceremony for the MRTC Headquarters and Headquarters Company (HHC). It isn’t often that the tenures for both the company commander and first sergeant align close enough to have both ceremonies in one drill weekend. Outgoing commander Maj. Brian Johnson and outgoing 1st Sgt. Terrence Wells were honored and thanked for their multi-year and very successful service. The bar was set high for Chief Warrant Officer 2 Taler Grier (also unique to have a warrant officer company commander) and 1st Sgt. Moises Marroquin. Both come with resumes highlighting their already impressive careers.

We continue to help shape the battlefield by evolving the training and resources provided to our training audience in the Army Reserve, the Army, our nation’s joint forces, and our international partners and allies. We look forward to helping advance Army Medicine as a key asset to train the force!

By the way, kudos to our team at RTS-Med Fort McCoy and Maj. Jessica Ewing for the great work!

We fall under Army Reserve Medical Command and provide training planning and support for exercises like Fort McCoy. Our team of professionals cover a gambit of skills and have a wide range of experiences to draw from, both as soldiers and from civilian careers and education. Army medicine for us means saving lives in combat, so we work with our NATO partners and jointly with other branches in the Department of Defense to ensure the best training possible.

When U.S. Army Reserve said they wanted to do something cool, something immersive, something that makes good video…our first thought was “Hollywood”… style. Our facility at Regional Training Site-Medical on Fort McCoy worked around the clock to make sure we provided realism in training to our Army, Navy and Air Force partners. We are joint and also international, with our UK and Canadian partners, all helping make the Global Medic portion of as massive success.

And we haven’t forgotten about part two…we just wanted to take a moment to appreciate Part 1 😉

When we talk medical training, it is comprehensive and goes beyond humans. Today's video is all about our ability to use technology to help train Army Reserve veterinarians. Army working dogs are part of our team of soldiers and part of our Army family. We provided training to help veterinarians operate in a combat environment. and are about the support and compassion to the warfighter when they need us most, which includes our four-legged troops too.
