Two HUGE boxes of books and countless stories waiting to be discovered! A heartfelt thank you to Girls for Books for their generous donation to the CASA Giving Library!

Many people may not know that right here at CASA, we have a sensory-friendly library created especially for children and youth experiencing foster care. It’s a calm, welcoming space where kids can settle in, explore a new story, use their imagination and, best of all, take home the books they fall in love with.

For a child navigating so much change, a book can offer comfort, adventure, laughter, escape, and a world that belongs entirely to them. Our Giving Library is possible because community members like Girls for Books believe in nurturing young readers and keeping imagination alive. Thank you for helping us fill our shelves and for giving children the joy of choosing a story to call their own. 💙

A little friendly competition can make a BIG difference!

A huge thank you to for turning a hygiene supply drive for CASA SATX into a little competition between office locations and while there may have been some bragging rights on the line, the children we serve are the clear winners!

Their teams collected hygiene essentials that will help stock the CASA Shop and give children and youth experiencing foster care access to everyday necessities when they need them.

We love seeing businesses get creative about giving back. Whether it’s a competition between departments, offices, or locations, a workplace supply drive is a fun way to bring employees together around a shared purpose and collectively make a meaningful impact for a child.

Thank you, Urology San Antonio, for showing what can happen when coworkers come together for our community’s children!

Great Hearts Invictus showed up in a BIG way for children in our community! Students, families, and staff came together to collect boxes and boxes and BOXES of school supplies for the CASA Shop, and we are so grateful! From backpacks and notebooks to pencils, crayons, and classroom essentials, these donations help ensure the children and youth we serve have access to the supplies they need throughout the school year.

We especially love seeing young people helping young people. Thank you, Great Hearts Invictus, for teaching generosity through action and showing your students just how much of a difference they can make in their community.

You filled our tables, stocked our shelves, and filled our hearts. THANK YOU! 💙

When a child enters foster care, there are many adults involved in their life, but each one has a different role.

A CASA Advocate, caseworker, attorney, and foster parent may all be working toward the same goal: helping a child move toward safety, stability, and permanency. But how they serve that child is not the same. That’s why understanding the system matters.

CASA Advocates are trained volunteers appointed by a judge to get to know the child, gather information, and make recommendations focused on the child’s best interests.
