Over at the high school, we decided to do teacher posts highlighting our 9-12 program.
Junior team recruited alumni to write our intros…Ms. Wells is up first and recent grads Bella Duke and Barron Broome helped write her post.

Introducing Kristie Wells!!!
Ms. Wells is not just STEM’s AP/Dual Credit English III instructor and Junior Team Leader, she is also a teacher who cares deeply about the STEM community. From the juniors she teaches to the sophomores and freshmen she scares straight in the halls to the seniors she mentors and the alumni she keeps in contact with, everyone knows that Ms. Wells means business, but has a huge heart and will always be there if they need something.
If you ever have a question, she will give you an answer. It might come with a healthy dose of sarcasm in her southern twang, but you’ll get an answer nonetheless.
She loves talking to people, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and being stingy with her grades 😂.
Ms. Wells has graced STEM with her presence since 2014, and attends as many student events as she can…even though she’s not “sportsy” and doesn’t “like musicals,” she shows up to support STEM students in whatever they love.
