Last Friday, the day that all of our seniors were anxiously waiting for finally arrived: Commissioning Day! This momentous day entailed cadets taking the Officer Oath of Office and officially becoming second lieutenants in the United States Air and Space Force. Thank you to all friends and family who came to support this important day for our lieutenants, volunteers, and personnel who made this day possible. Congratulations to the commissioning class, and always remember: Det 842, BEST IN BLUE! 🔥✈️

Week 13 Cadets of The Week

Det 842 doesn’t just meet the standard — we raise it. This week, Delta’s Squadron Commander C/Salinas led with excellence at every PMT event, while Yankee’s C/Reyes transformed Foxtrot PT into pure warrior ethos and unit cohesion. Meanwhile, LRS proved unstoppable, outfitting 50+ cadets with blues on a tight deadline without missing a beat. Focused, relentless, mission ready.

Last week, after a long and strenuous semester, the commissioning class of 2027 received their AFSCs! This was a momentous and important milestone for cadets journey, as cadets got an insight into what they will be heading into after they commission. Huge congratulations to all! ✈️🔥

C/Fulk, an AS 400 cadet here at Det 842, will commission as a 2d Lt in the Air Force this May! He decided to pursue commissioning in the Air Force because he wanted to be among the greatest people in the world, to change people’s lives for the better, and be an idol for people to look up to. Some fun facts about him are that he used to sell cars, he loves snowboarding, and he built his own flight simulator ! Keep up the hard work, C/Fulk!
