Join us as we celebrate our treasured grandparents with an afternoon of games, books, STEM fun, and memories! 💕📖🧪

⏰ September 14–18 | Attendance Awareness Spirit Week
Let’s show up, dress up, and SOAR all week long! Each day will have a fun spirit theme designed to remind us that every day, every class, every minute matters! 🎉👟

📝 September 15, 17 & 22 | Campus-Wide Universal Screening
During beginning-of-year testing, Candlewood will be a closed campus with no visitors on these three dates. Thank you for helping us protect instructional time and providing our Eagles with a focused testing environment. 💙

💙💚🧡💜 A HUGE Eagle Thank You to Ms. Prince! 🦅✨

We are so grateful for one of our amazing Candlewood parents, Ms. Prince, and her dedication to our Eagle family!

As a parent and an employee of Dollar Tree, Ms. Prince went above and beyond by organizing a supply drive and securing donations for our campus. 📚✏️🎒

Her generosity is a wonderful example of the impact we can make when parents, schools, and community partners come together to support our students.

We appreciate you, Ms. Prince, for always thinking of our Eagles and helping our campus community SOAR! 🦅💙

☕️📝 Spill the Tea… on Writing! 📝☕️

Our amazing fifth graders in Miss Brady’s class had a unique and wonderful opportunity to share their writing during “Spill the Tea”! 🫖✨

Students selected a narrative piece to share with their classmates, choosing from topics such as the story behind their name, their worst meal ever, or their first experience with something new. 📖💭

It was so much fun listening to our Eagles share their personal stories, experiences, creativity, and voices! And, of course, no “Spill the Tea” would be complete without some light refreshments and a refreshing cup of tea or lemonade. 🍋☕️

What an awesome way to make writing meaningful, personal, and FUN! We are so proud of our fifth graders for putting their writing out there and sharing their stories with confidence.

🦅 Great job, Fifth Grade! We can’t wait to hear more of your amazing stories and narratives! Keep writing, keep sharing, and keep letting your voices SOAR! 💙💚🧡💜

Did you know September is Attendance Awareness Month? It is a nationwide campaign highlighting the critical link between regular school attendance and academic achievement. We are working with Student Family and Support Services to have an amazing spirit week next week to highlight the importance of attendance. Dressing up is not mandatory, but encouraged. Students will be awarded treats during their lunch period with an extra special visitor on Thursday! Check out the flyer for daily spirit dress up!

📚🎲 A Celebration of Grandparents & Literacy! 🎲📚

Our treasured grandparents hold such a special place in our Eagle family, and we can’t wait to celebrate them! ❤️

This year, we’re putting a fun new spin on our traditional Grandparents Luncheon. Since our cafeteria space is needed to support all of our students on campus, we’re excited to invite our grandparents to a special afternoon of GAMES WITH GRANDS! 🎉

And because September is National Literacy Month, we’re combining two things we love—grandparents and books! 📖❤️

Our Counseling Department has planned an afternoon filled with:

❤️ Quality time with our amazing grandparents

We hope our grandparents can join us for this special celebration! There’s nothing better than making memories, playing games, and sharing a love of reading across generations.

🇺🇸✨ Happy Labor Day! ✨🇺🇸

Labor Day is more than just a 3-day weekend, BBQs, and the unofficial end of summer! ☀️🌭

It’s a day to honor ALL American workers—past and present—whose hard work has helped build and strengthen our country. 👩🏽‍🏫👨🏽‍⚕️👷🏽‍♀️👨🏽‍💻👩🏽‍🚒👨🏽‍🔧

The labor movement fought for many of the workplace protections we often take for granted today, including safer working conditions, reasonable work hours, and protections for workers and children. 💪🏽

So whether you work behind a desk, in a classroom, at a hospital, outdoors, in a restaurant, from home, or anywhere in between—today celebrates YOU and the work you do. ❤️🤍💙
