The Low Vision Resource Center holds monthly meetings include presentations designed to keep members informed about the latest medical research into eye diseases and how local resources can assist them. Several times a year, the club organizes social gatherings for its members. It also produces a quarterly newsletter in print and cassette form and has published a directory of local resources for t

he visually impaired. The Owl is the eyes of the world, the voice of information. News, Business, Travel, Recipes, Grocery ads. It's Free! And Easy! Owl Radio is 24/7 news reading service for the print impaired, so our listeners stay connected! Every day, volunteers read from the San Antonio Express-News and other publications. More current news and information is broadcast from satellite sources as diverse as the New York Times, People Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, Reader's Digest and many others. All our programming reflects our listeners input.

As president of Impact San Antonio, Yvonne oversees the women’s group that provides substantial grants to nonprofit organizations through collective giving. As the San Antonio Area Coordinator for the Texas Ramp Project, Scott manages volunteer teams that build wheelchair ramps for low-income adults and people with disabilities. His organization received one of Impact San Antonio’s grants.
