People are tired of being someone else at work. Forced to leave their true selves at the door.
I just had a conversation about this yesterday with another military member and how folks feel they hold different personas at work than at home.
It’s easy to wear the uniform and be YOU but what happens when it comes off at the end of the day?
Today, we need leaders who prioritize freedom, flexibility, authenticity.
Leaders who are honest and transparent.
Leaders who come from a place of empathy.
Leaders who trust their employees/team members.
Why? You guessed it.
At the end of the day, we’re all people.
And everyone, no matter their position, deserves to be treated as such.
