Week 4 is wrapped up! 📚

This week, students learned "See Something, Say Something",speaking up to a trusted adult shows real strength and care. 💙

🎒 Please Note: Toys, electronics, and non-school items must stay at home. Please do a quick daily check of your child’s backpack before drop-off so we can keep campus safe and focused!

We want to advise that KIPP Cevallos will operate on a normal schedule tomorrow, Monday, Aug. 31.
We understand that CPS Energy continues working to restore service throughout the city. Our facilities team has inspected our campus to ensure it is safe, operational, and ready to welcome students and staff.

Dear Families,

We are so excited to welcome all of our KIPPsters for the first day of school! As a reminder, classes begin promptly at 7:30 AM.

Please review these important first-day reminders:

Building Access & Safety: To ensure student safety, family members are not permitted to walk into the building or es**rt students to their classrooms.

Arrival & Timing: Doors open at 7:10 AM. Please plan to arrive early, and thank you in advance for your patience as we welcome everyone to campus.

Parking Etiquette: Please do not park in nearby business lots or block our neighbors' driveways during drop-off and pick-up.

Supply Drop-Off: If you need to drop off school supplies, please bring them to the table set up at the front kiosk next to the flagpole. Kindly label the items with a Post-it note secured with tape, and our team will ensure they are delivered to the correct classroom.

Thank you for your support in making the first day smooth and safe for all our scholars!

¡Estamos muy emocionados de dar la bienvenida a todos nuestros estudiantes de KIPP para el primer día de clases! Les recordamos que las clases comienzan puntualmente a las 7:30 a. m.

Por favor, revisen estos recordatorios importantes para el primer día:

Acceso al edificio y seguridad: Para garantizar la seguridad de los estudiantes, no se permite que los familiares entren al edificio ni acompañen a los alumnos hasta sus aulas.

Llegada y horario: Las puertas se abren a las 7:10 a. m. Les pedimos que planifiquen llegar temprano y les agradecemos de antemano su paciencia mientras damos la bienvenida a todos al plantel.

Normas de estacionamiento: Por favor, no se estacionen en los estacionamientos de negocios cercanos ni bloqueen las entradas de vehículos de nuestros vecinos durante los horarios de llegada y salida.

Entrega de útiles escolares: Si necesita entregar útiles escolares, por favor llévelos a la mesa ubicada en el quiosco de la entrada, junto al asta de la bandera. Les rogamos que etiqueten los artículos con una nota adhesiva (tipo Post-it) asegurada con cinta; nuestro equipo se encargará de entregarlos en el aula correspondiente.

📣 Cheer Tryouts (Incoming 3rd–8th Graders)
Does your student have school spirit?

📚 School Book Fair
• Student Shopping: Starts May 12th.
• Family Shopping: Open during Art Night on May 13th!
🎈 Volunteer Opportunity: We need volunteers! Please reach out to Ms. Sartin if you can help us coordinate.

🎨 Art Night: "Under the Sea" Dive into our student art showcase!
• When: May 13th from 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM.
🎈 Volunteer Opportunity: We are seeking volunteers on Tuesday to help to with balloons and backdrop set up. Please reach out to our Art teacher Ms. Mendoza or Ms. Gonzalez (1st grade) to coordinate.

Field Day is right around the corner! We are still looking for donations of:
