Our student media team recently showcased their creativity and storytelling skills through a special video project featured at ESC-20's Annual Client Appreciation Luncheon.

The student-produced video highlights the history and legacy of the Harlandale community through the theme, "People. Progress. Possibilities."

It was also these same students who helped bring our graduation ceremonies to viewers by supporting the live production and streaming of each of them.

Nuestro equipo estudiantil de medios de comunicaciòn demostró recientemente su creatividad y habilidad narrativa a través de un video especial presentado en el Almuerzo Anual de Agradecimiento a los Clientes de ESC-20.

El video, producido por los propios estudiantes, destaca la historia y el legado de la comunidad de Harlandale bajo el lema: "Personas. Progreso. Posibilidades".

Estos mismos estudiantes también hicieron posible que el público pudiera disfrutar de nuestras ceremonias de graduación, colaborando en la producción en vivo y la transmisión de cada una de ellas por internet.

Congratulations to our STEM Early College High School graduates who were recently recognized during Texas A&M University-San Antonio's first-ever Dual Credit and Early College High School Recognition Ceremony!

The event celebrated students who have earned 42 or more college credit hours while still in high school, highlighting their dedication and academic achievement. We are proud of our students for reaching this incredible milestone and representing the Harlandale Legacy so well.

A new immersive learning experience has arrived at our Harlandale ISD's Makerspace At The JWC.

After more than a year of planning and collaboration, the SAWS HydroCore immersive experience recently celebrated its soft opening. Designed and built by the San Antonio Water System within our JWC Makerspace, HydroCore is an interactive environment where students can explore water conservation, infrastructure and STEM concepts through hands-on learning.

The soft opening also served as the capstone experience for SAWS's AquaScouts summer program, welcoming students and families from districts across the San Antonio area to be among the first to explore this new space that will be available to our students.

HydroCore reflects the impact of strong community partnerships and a shared commitment to creating innovative learning experiences for future generations.

Ha llegado una nueva experiencia de aprendizaje inmersivo a nuestro Makerspace del Jewel Wietzel Center.

Tras más de un año de planificación y colaboración, la experiencia inmersiva HydroCore de SAWS celebró recientemente su inauguración preliminar. Diseñado y construido por el San Antonio Water System (SAWS) dentro de nuestro JWC Makerspace, HydroCore es un ambiente interactivo donde los estudiantes pueden explorar la conservación del agua, su infraestructura y conceptos de STEM mediante el aprendizaje práctico.

Esta inauguración preliminar también sirvió como actividad de cierre para el programa de verano AquaScouts de SAWS, dando la bienvenida a estudiantes y familias de distritos de toda el área de San Antonio para que fueran los primeros en explorar este nuevo espacio, el cual estará a disposición de nuestros alumnos.

HydroCore refleja el impacto de sólidas alianzas comunitarias y de un compromiso compartido por crear experiencias de aprendizaje innovadoras para las generaciones futuras.

Please join us in welcoming our newest Harlandale ISD teachers, who have successfully completed their TCLAS residencies from Texas A&M and UTSA Universities!

Their teaching careers will officially begin this upcoming school year. Bianca Cortez and Arianna Arce will join the team at Wright_HISD Elementary, while Alexis Sandoval and Brent Hamilton will teach at Harlandale High School.

We look forward to seeing the impact they will make in our district classrooms!

Our Special Education Department recently celebrated the retirement of three outstanding professionals whose impact will be felt for years to come.

Della Taylor, Director of Special Education, Dr. Maria Elena Morales and Mark Gondesen were honored for their years of service, leadership and dedication to Harlandale ISD students and families.

As a special surprise, Mark Gondesen was recognized by KSAT 12 Meteorologist Adam Caskey as the latest Thermometer Thursday winner.

Thank you for your lasting contributions to the Harlandale ISD. We wish you all the best in retirement!

Congratulations to our Harlandale ISD sixth-grade Reading Challenge winners from Terrell Wells Middle School!

Thirty-three students rose to the challenge this fall, demonstrating a commitment to reading and learning. They were all recently recognized during a special celebration featuring certificates, lunch and an afternoon of games with fellow readers.

A special congratulations to Thiago Quirino, who was recognized as one of the district’s top four readers and received an iPad for his achievement.
