We have a unique leadership opportunity open right now for a SMSgt with IDMT and Paramedic expierence. The SERE Schoolhouse is looking for a senior leader to fill a Senior Enlisted Medical Advisor (SEMA) position. You will lead a diverse team of 40 enlisted medics across eight AFSCs, manage a $6M budget, and oversee medical operations for the schoolhouse, including a GSU detachment.

This is a true boots-on-the-ground leadership role. You will be operating in a high-tempo, 24/7, all-weather environment, averaging about 120 days of TDY a year supporting SERE students in the field across the Pacific Northwest. Because of the nature of this mission, you must be world-wide qualified, have zero fear of heights, dark, or confined spaces, and be ready to pass a water survival test (swimming 15 meters in uniform and treading water for 1 minute).

I'm proud to share that MSgt Kuhn, Chief Lee, and I recently completed the Required Resources Assessment for the Army Combat Paramedic Program. This is a major milestone that when implemented will allow us to regularly send IDMTs through the ACP course, creating more opportunities for advanced training and strengthening the capabilities of our career field.
