Quick Clarification About Guardians of the Children

We see it from time to time in comments and conversations, so we wanted to take a moment to clarify exactly who we are.

Guardians of the Children is not a Motorcycle Club (MC), Motorcycle Ministry (MM), or Riding Club (RC).
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization made up of dedicated individuals who share one purpose: supporting children and families affected by child abuse.

We also want to be very clear that this distinction is made with nothing but respect. We have great respect for the MCs, MMs, RCs, independent riders, and others in the motorcycle community who support our organization, our mission, and the children we serve. Many have stood beside us, supported our events, participated in rides, and helped us make a difference. This post isn't about creating division. It's simply about making sure our organization is represented accurately.

Yes, many of our members ride motorcycles, and motorcycles are an important part of how we connect with and empower the children we support. But being a motorcycle organization is not what defines us.

The mission of Guardians of the Children is to recognize and react to child abuse and educate the public to do the same; to serve as advocates to provide strength and stability to families in crisis; and to be an answer to the prayer of an abused child or teen for courage, support and protection.

We stand beside our Little Guardians and their families. We show up during difficult moments, support them through their journey, celebrate their victories, and remind them that they don't have to face their battles alone.

So when you see the Guardians of the Children patch, remember:

We're not an MC, MM, or RC. We're a 501(c)(3) organization with a mission, and motorcycles are one of the ways we carry that mission forward.

Different organizations. Different purposes. Mutual respect.

We are Guardians of the Children San Antonio Mother Chapter.

When a child calls, we ride.
