At our monthly commissioners meeting, the Board of Commissioners of BCESD No. 10 approved the creation of the position of Executive Director. The primary function of the Executive Director is to create an environment for the administrative organization to run effectively and efficiently and serving as part of an executive staff team that promotes the District's core values and executes leadership and management functions for the district.

With that being said, we announce that Assistant Chief Tim Faktor has accepted the appointment to this newly created position. Congratulations, Tim! After serving twenty-one years as a uniformed firefighter, Tim will now transition his service to a non-uniformed role. We are grateful for all that Tim has led us through these past year-and-a-half, especially during his time serving as the interim Fire Chief. And we are even more excited for what the future holds for both Tim and BCESD No. 10 as he begins this next chapter.

During National Telecommunicators week we wanted to give a huge shout out to our Bexar County Fire Dispatchers. We got them a gift this year of a customized lunchbox featuring our patch and each one has their respective name on it as a small thank you for all that they do for us year around. No amount of thank yous or gifts can show how thankful we are for the entire team we have guiding us and watching our backs on emergencies.

Also those are not the regular dress for our dispatchers , we just happened to stop by on pajama day and they sure did look comfy!
