Congratulations to Lt. Cmdr. Miles Pedersen, attached to Navy Medicine Training Support Command (NMTSC) and a resident at the Tri-Service Orthodontic Residency Program, for taking home top honors at this year’s American Association of Orthodontists Annual Meeting.

The award was earned in the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics Resident Case Display competition, showcasing a complex, collaborative treatment plan that highlights the seamless interoperability and clinical excellence of our military dental teams. This win wasn't just a personal victory—it was a true tri-service effort, featuring multi-service faculty mentorship and a surgical-orthodontic approach alongside our Army counterparts.

“Pedersen’s award highlights the incredible work and efforts coming from NMTSC in all its mission requirements. We continue to demonstrate the commitment to force readiness through the generation and development of the future Navy Medicine leaders.” – Capt. Richard Lawrence, commander NMTSC.

Congratulations to Pedersen and the entire team for this outstanding demonstration of skill and inter-service collaboration!

🏆 Congrats to the student Sailors of Hospital Corpsman Basic (HCB) “A” School Class 070!

These outstanding Sailors attached to the Navy Medicine Training Support Command recently, earned the Gadsden Flag—an honor that hasn’t been achieved by a class in two years!

To earn this recognition, the class had to secure six prestigious pennants in uniform inspection, room inspection, drill, physical readiness, academics, and volunteer service.

Their success serves as a powerful reminder of the top-notch U.S. Navy Corpsmen produced here at NMTSC and METC aboard Joint Base San Antonio.

Join us in congratulating these exceptional Sailors on their well-deserved success!
