Thank you, San Antonio Roadrunners, for your generous $1,000 gift, which was presented at the FoSANA board meeting in December! Our local runners spend a lot of time on natural areas trails, and they are great stewards of these spaces!

Established in 1973, the San Antonio Road Runners (SARR) is a running club founded on the principle that anyone can be a runner. SARR serves the running community in San Antonio by offering training programs, races, free meet-ups, fun runs, and community outreach. With 1,700+ members, SARR is an integral part of the San Antonio community. Each year SARR hosts the Rocky Horror Trail Run at Eisenhower Park, one of San Antonio's 10 beloved natural areas. This ghoulish run challenges participating athletes by repeating a strenuous 3.3-mile loop with 400 feet of elevation changes through gnarly rocks and roots. Each loop includes parts of four trails: Hillview, Shady Creek, Red Oak and Live Oak. Just under 3/4 mile of the trail surface is paved. This year, SARR generously donated $1,000 in race funds to FoSANA for trail improvements in the Natural Areas. For more information on the 2026 Rocky Horror Trail Run please visit https://runsignup.com/Race/TX/SanAntonio/RockyHorrorTrailRun.
