🏃‍♂️🔥 Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run 🔥🏃‍♀️

On Tuesday, May 19, CHP San Andreas proudly participated in and hosted the Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run for the third consecutive year.
The Law Enforcement Torch Run is the largest public awareness and fundraising movement benefiting Special Olympics athletes. Law enforcement officers carry the “Flame of Hope” through communities across the state, helping to raise awareness, promote inclusion, and support individuals with intellectual disabilities as they pursue their athletic goals and achievements.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all of the agencies, officers, volunteers, and community members who participated and helped make this year’s event another great success. Your dedication and support continue to make a positive impact on the lives of Special Olympics athletes and their families.
Together, we carried the Flame of Hope and celebrated the spirit of courage, determination, and inclusion. ❤️💙

The other day while on patrol, one of our officers had the pleasure of meeting some curious children visiting from Germany. They were excited to see our patrol vehicle up close and take a photo. Moments like these are meaningful reminder of the positive relationships we strive to build through everyday interactions in our communities of Calaveras County and in the entire state of California.

Report Out-of-State Registration Violators

The State of California loses millions of dollars of revenue every year from California residents who neglect to register their vehicles in California. California residents with vehicles registered outside of the state don't contribute to the upkeep of the freeways and bridges they use.

A California resident, for purposes of vehicle registration, is any person who manifests an intent to live or be located in this State on more than a temporary or transient basis. California law permits only 20 days to complete the process of registering your vehicle.

REPORTING:
Report vehicles with out-of-state license plates only. California license plates with expired registration are already tracked by the DMV.......
