🚨 Public Notice – Tornado Siren Test 🚨

Magoffin County 911 will be conducting a countywide test of ALL tornado sirens on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at 10:00 AM.

⚠️ This is only a test. There is NO emergency.

The purpose of this test is to ensure all sirens are working properly and ready to alert our community in the event of severe weather.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to keep Magoffin County safe and prepared. Please help us spread the word so no one is alarmed during the test.

We want to reassure our community that 911 is still your first call in ANY emergency — including medical emergencies.

Magoffin County Fiscal Court is currently working through temporary changes with ambulance coverage, and surrounding counties are assisting with emergency medical response while a long-term plan is being finalized. Local officials and emergency services are actively working together to ensure our residents continue to receive the care they need.

✅ If you have a medical emergency — CALL 911.
✅ If you need police, fire, or any emergency help — CALL 911.

The Magoffin County 911 center is fully operational and ready to take your call 24/7. Dispatchers will coordinate the appropriate emergency response for you.

Your safety is our top priority, and we will continue to share updates as more information becomes available.

UPDATE

We have been working with ATT Mobility to fix the problem. They seem to have fixed the issue. So ATT cellphones or any carriers that bounce off ATT towers should have no problem calling 911 directly. Remember, if you call 911 from your cell phone in Magoffin County and it keeps ringing, please call the admin line 349-4403. Please share this update and thank you for being patient while we resolved this issue

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

If your cellphone carrier is ATT, Straight Talk or it bounces off the their towers you may have problems trying to dial 911 directly. Something is going on with their towers and not sure when it will be fixed. Please call 349-4403 or 349-2433. This is being worked on and will be fixed as soon as possible.ueue

All 911 calls have been routed to KSP Post 9 for the time being. You call also reach us at 349-2433

We are having some technical issues this morning in 911, if you have an emergency and your 911 call will not go through call 606-349-2433. We have technicians enroute to fix the issues and we will let you know when we are back up and running. Thank you for
