⚠️ Just because something is sold at a gas station or convenience store doesn’t mean it’s safe.

So-called “gas station drugs” can include psychoactive products containing substances such as tianeptine and highly concentrated 7-OH. These products may be marketed as supplements, mood enhancers, energy products, gummies, shots, or extracts, making their potential risks easy to underestimate.

Repeated use of tianeptine and concentrated 7-OH has been associated with tolerance, dependence, withdrawal, and serious health effects. Another concern is that consumers may not always know the exact ingredients or potency of what they’re taking, making the effects and potential interactions even more unpredictable.

The Kentucky State Police Angel Initiative is a proactive approach offering an escape to those battling addiction. Under this initiative, anyone can visit any KSP post to get help finding a treatment center.
The Angel Initiative has connected 281 individuals with treatment resources so far. Every life matters, and together we are making a difference across Kentucky.

Kentucky Medicaid members living with a serious mental illness (SMI), such as depression or schizophrenia, may now qualify for new free services, including:
• Help finding housing.
• Help getting a job or going back to school.
