Great things continue to happen in The City of Saltillo and that progress is a direct result of strong leadership, thoughtful planning and a shared commitment to moving our community forward. It takes a collective effort for great ideas to become real, lasting improvements that benefit everyone!

Across many areas of our city, we are seeing major improvements that enhance quality of life, strengthen our infrastructure and create opportunities for families to live, work and play right here in our town. It’s hard to beat a team that consistently shows up with a mindset focused on growth, while taking intentional steps forward day by day, project by project.

We are especially grateful for the vision, tenacity and dedication of those who work behind the scenes to bring these efforts to life. The success we see today is built on months, and often years of planning, coordination and persistence. Progress at this level doesn’t happen by chance, it happens because people care deeply about the future of this city and are willing to put in the work to make it better.

The City of Saltillo is committed to continuing this momentum. Just as lifelong learning is essential to personal growth, a city must continue to evolve to meet the needs of its people. We will keep looking ahead, building on what’s been accomplished and striving to make Saltillo an even better place for generations to come.

The best is not behind us, it’s certainly still yet to come!

Nearly half-a-million dollars in state grants will change the face of outdoor exercise in Saltillo by connecting two parks with a roughly 1-mile green-space trail.

We are grateful for the installation of three new storm shelters at Wesson Park this past week.

These shelters increase available community shelter space and help better serve the west side of town during inclement weather.

Please continue to stay weather aware and plan ahead to protect yourself and your family when severe weather threatens.

With severe weather expected this afternoon, all three tornado shelters will be available to the public.

All shelters have been cleared and cleaned!
