Hi all! Just letting you know that the Natural Resources Map & Bookstore will be closed Friday July 24th for Pioneer Day. We’ll be open again on Monday July 27th.

In the meantime, we’re highlighting an awesome historic map: The Route of the Mormon Pioneers from Nauvoo to Great Salt Lake, Feb’y 1846-July 1847 by Millroy and Hayes (1899, link to the full map in bio). More than just a map of the journey taken by the pioneers from the Mississippi River to the Great Salt Lake, this map also features detailed artwork of notable features along the route, including Utah’s own Devil’s Slide (a Utah Geological Survey GeoSight, link also in bio)!
