Summer is almost here!
For a lot of families, that means excitement... and also a big shift in daily routines, energy levels, and parenting demands. Suddenly the structure of the school year is gone, and the long summer days begin.

That's where we come in. Our free home visiting programs support families with young children by offering guidance, encouragement, and practical ideas right in your home.

We can help with building simple summer routines, supporting child development through play, handling big emotions, and finding ways to make the days feel a little more manageable.

You don't have to figure out summer on your own. We meet you where you are and walk alongside your family through this season and beyond.

If you're interested in learning more or getting connected, reach out today.

We had an incredible CAP month, thanks to Deondra Brown and all of the cities who signed a proclamation declaring April as Child Abuse Prevention Month. As we work together, communities are stronger, and children more empowered. Thank you to everyone who had a part in this amazing month!

Connection creates safety

In this KUTV 2News Check Your Health segment, Deondra Brown reminds us that prevention is something every community member can be part of. It can begin with simple, everyday actions: knowing your neighbors, checking in on parents, listening to children, and becoming a trusted adult in a child’s life.

Here are three small ways to create connection with a child this week:
Ask one question and listen without rushing the answer.
Notice something specific they are doing well, and say it out loud.
Share an activity like reading a book, planting flowers, or taking a walk

Small moments of connection help children feel seen, safe, and supported. And when families feel connected to the people around them, prevention becomes something we build together.

Prevention doesn’t start in crisis. It starts in the everyday environments where children grow,
learn, and connect.

Youth-serving organizations play a critical role in child sexual abuse prevention through strong policies, trained staff, and environments designed with safety in mind.

On May 7, 2026, PCA America will host a webinar bringing together experts and practitioners to explore what it takes to build safer systems for children, grounded in evidence and real-world practice. If you work with children and families, this conversation is for you.
