The Marriott Library is thrilled to welcome Abdi Nazemian as the featured speaker at our Banned Books Event! ✨

Nazemian is an award-winning author, screenwriter and producer. His novel "Like a Love Story", has been banned statewide in Utah public schools.

During his presentation, Nazemian will discuss how his experiences as an intersectional Iranian-American son, artist and parent have taught him the value of open communication and empathy for all.
We cannot WAIT for this event, we hope to see you there!

An icon in music, literacy and around the world, the Marriott Library celebrates the life and legacy of Dolly Parton. 🤍

In 1995, Dolly launched Imagination Library, a program providing free books to children from birth to age five and inspiring a lifelong love of reading.

Since first starting in Tennessee, the program has grown globally, gifting more than 300 million free books to children around the world.

Dolly understood the power of a good book and believed every child should have the opportunity to experience it. We thank her for her lifelong commitment to expanding access to free books and libraries.

Rest in peace, Queen Dolly. Your legacy will continue to inspire us all…🫶
