Organized in 2006 by a small group of volunteer business owners and community minded residents, Local First Utah was one of the first local business alliances in the nation. Today, with thousands of locally owned and independent business partners, we work on the forefront of the "buy local

" movement in Utah. Local businesses are the backbone of any community. It is nearly impossible to imagine our neighborhoods, our towns and our cities here in Utah without them. Local First Utah is a movement of business owners and citizens who care deeply about the places where we live, work and play. We provide tools and resources to business owners to amplify their collective voices and we connect locally minded citizens to the independent businesses in their communities. Partner with us in this movement by actively branding your business as locally owned. Each step we take, together, helps us create livable, thriving places to call home.
